Giant White Teddy Bear

Lovers of teddy bears don't always care what color their cherished plush bears are, so long as they have one, or two, or three (or more!) at all times. But, collectors of plush bears would argue that color is elemental to the collection, so as to ensure integrity and consistency in the assembly of plush animals. White teddy bears are just one color of bear that some collectors revere.

William Davies King who wrote Collections of Nothing, says "nearly all collects something, even those who don't reckon of themselves as collectors." He defines the impulse of collecting as "owning something in amount for reasons beyond pure need." Generally, children that collect things, also continue to do so into adulthood. Plush bears, are a excellent examples of things that children share a close bond with and as is the case, they feel the need to ensure they have them in their adult lives. What was once a cuddly companion that was used for snuggling up to in bed, often becomes something that is part of a collection of most cherished possessions.

Choosing what color and what type of plush bear to collect is a very personal affair. A white teddy bear as a collectors item is well loved since of what the color white symbolizes. White is seen as pure, clean and neutral and is associated with both peace and purity as is evident in two very well loved peace secret code: the truce flag and the white dove. You would be hard pressed to find another toy that can emulate purity like a white plush bear can. While the real bears they are modelled after - in this case, the polar bear - don't necessarily conjure up thoughts of peacefulness, a giant white teddy bear, in all its white glory, is still symbolic nonetheless.

Since teddy bears were bent in 1902, it didn't take very long for both children and adults alike to figure out that they were much more than just a soft toy; they are companions who are there for us through the very best and the very worst of our lives. It's therefore, no surprise that we would want to carry on the tradition of increase them in a collection. A white teddy bear as part of such a collection will surely help you in ways you never thought possible; white is said to promote us to clear the mess from our heads and the obstacles from our lives which may be standing in our way of further success. The color white is also symbolically known to enable a new beginning Who knew that as part of a white bear collection, a white teddy bear could be more to us than just a comfort?
